INTERIOR: Living Room Plans

Die hartgesottenen Löwenherzen unter euch erinnern sich ja sicherlich noch an das Drama mit dem Teppich. Wir erinnern uns zurück an den Tag, an dem ich dachte, es wäre eine gute Idee, sich mit einer Flasche knallpinkem Nagellack auf meine cremefarbene Couch zu setzen und sich die Nägel zu lackieren. Bis dahin war auch noch alles in Ordnung, aber als ich dann den Nagellack wegräumen wollte, passierte das Unglück. Der Nagellack rutschte mir aus der Hand, zerschlug auf dem Metallrahmen meines Couchtisches und verteilte sich in einer schwungvollen Spiralbewegung auf meinen blau-weißen Chevron-Teppich.

Nach langer Trauerphase passierte erstmal gar nichts. Tausend Mal dachte ich drüber nach, dass ich den Teppich eigentlich mal zusammenrollen und zur Reinigung bringen sollte, aber dann vergaß die Reinigungsfrau auch immer ihren Teppichfachmann zu fragen, ob er was retten könnte und so kam ich irgendwann an den Zeitpunkt der Akzeptanz oder Ignoranz (oder kurz: ich war einfach zu faul, der Sache weiter nachzugehen).

Jetzt ist das fast ein dreiviertel Jahr her und der Teppich hat sich noch keinen Zentimeter bewegt und der pinke Fleck ist immer noch da. Inzwischen habe ich aber eine Entscheidung getroffen. An Chevron hatte ich mich sowieso irgendwie sattgesehen - und ihr kennt ja meinen Einrichtungstipp Nummer eins: Textilien und Deko wechseln und der Raum ist ein anderer. In meinem Fall wird das also ein neuer Teppich und ein paar neue Kissen. Und eventuell ein neuer Couchtisch, weil der Stil dann irgendwie nicht mehr passt. Alt wird also verkauft und neu ist bereits auf dem Weg.

Und weil ich mich selbst noch nicht so ganz entscheiden kann, wie der Rest so werden soll, möchte ich heute den Post nutzen, um meine Gedanken ein bisschen zu sortieren - und eure Meinung zu erfragen. Heute gibt es also ein paar Vorschläge für Couchtische und ich zeige euch, welche Kissen gerade so in meiner engeren Auswahl schwirren. Lasst mich wissen, welche Optionen euch am Besten gefallen!

Those of you that have read my blog for some time now might still remember the drama with my living room rug. About 9 months back, I thought it was a good idea to sit on my cream colored couch and paint my nails bright pink. So far, so good. But when it was time to put the nail polish away, I accidentally dropped it, the little glass burst on the metal frame of my coffee table and the nail polish spiraled its way over my rug and left a lot of stains all over it. I then made some attempts to clean it but that always made it worse and then I wanted to bring it to the cleaners but they first wanted to check if they could handle the stains and never got back to me and well... in the end, out of laziness, I never pursued the rug cleaning. 

And a couple of weeks ago, I made up my mind that I actually didn't want to have the rug anymore so I found another option that I loved. I feel like I need some new inspiration to get my living situation to move forward a little. I kind of stopped doing anything new around here even though I'm not remotely close to being done. So, a new rug it is. And as I don't know yet what new pillows and coffee table to get, I thought I'd use this blogpost to let you guys help me make up my mind. Which option(s) do you like best?
