INTERIOR: Workspace

Skandal! Ich habe gemerkt, dass ich euch immer nur Ausschnitte von meinem kleinen Arbeitsplatz habe, den ich mir in meinem Ankleidezimmer eingerichtet habe. Es ist ja schon witzig, wenn man sagt 'Ich gehe jetzt mal in mein Büro' und verschwindet dann im Kleiderschrank. Ich gestehe auch, dass ich den Arbeitsplatz nur dann nutze, wenn ich an Sachen arbeite, die meine ganze Aufmerksamkeit benötigen, wenn ich Zeitdruck habe oder einfach etwas weggeschafft bekommen will. So ein Arbeitsumfeld mit Schreibtisch und Büromaterial sorgt dann ja doch etwas besser für ein effizientes Arbeitsumfeld, als meine mit Kissen befüllte Couch es im Normalfall tut. Aber egal, wie oft ich den Arbeitsplatz jetzt nutze oder nicht - schön anzugucken finde ich ihn auf jeden Fall!

Während ich in meinem Wohnzimmer ja mehr die Kupfer-Elster bin, setze ich auf den paar Quadratmetern rund um meinen Schreibtisch mehr auf goldene Details. Die kleine Schildkröte zum Beispiel ist ein Gummitier, das ich für unglaubliche 20 Cent auf dem Flohmarkt ergattert und mit goldener Sprühfarbe neu lackiert habe. Der kleine Briefsortierer war ebenfalls ursprünglich weiß und hat dann ein neues Aussehen verpasst bekommen. Das war, bevor ich gesehen habe, dass es das ganze Zeug auch wo anders zu kaufen gibt. Ein paar superschöne Weiß-Goldene Office Accessories habe ich euch unten in einer Collage zusammengestellt. Leider scheint Deutschland irgendwie nicht so ganz auf dem neusten Stand zu sein, wass Office Decor angeht und so sind die meisten Sachen aus amerikanischen Onlineshops. Irgendwann werde ich dann mal eine Sammelbestellung machen müssen. Es sei denn, jemand von euch weiß, wo ich so einen Shop auch in Deutschland finde?

This is scandalous! I just realized that I haven't shown you snapshots of my workspace yet. It's about time we change that. It's actually funny, because as my little office space has been built up in my dressing room, whenever I say 'I'm gonna go work on something!' I get up and disappear into my closet. To be honest, I only use the workspace if I actually have a deadline to work on something or want to really concentrate. I feel like I get to work more efficiently if the surrounding actually looks like a workspace and is not as comfy as a couch full of pillows. I decided to go for a light mint for the walls and keep the furniture in black and a lot of white (as the room is not that light) and added golden accessoires. The turtle was actually a blue rubber animal I bought at the flea market for only 20 cents and pimped it with some gold spray paint. I did the same thing with the wire letter sorter. Turns out, they sell the exact one at Target. Too bad they don't ship internationally. In general, I found all the cool golden accessoires in the collage below the images in american onlineshops. Guess Germany is a little behind on that!
